ABSTRACT
The paper discusses new directions of use of controlled layer of asphaltene deposition in oil transportation through trunk pipelines. One of such directions is the creation of a uniform, monitored layer of asphaltene deposits on the inner surface of pipes. This protects the pipe from corrosion, serves as a heat insulating material, as well as the coating reduces inner surface roughness of the pipe.
KEYWORDS: paraffin deposits, corrosion protection, thermal insulation.

ABSTRACT
In the article, ensuring safe operation of the main pipelines at non steady state of technological parameters of operation by controlling the main pumps with variable frequency electric drive is considered. It is noted that use of the specified drives provides smooth change of the mode of transfer and essential decrease in amplitude of the wave of pressure arising at non steady state of technological parameters of operation. Analytical dependencies between the maximum tension in pipe wall arising in the conditions of change of the mode of transfer and parameters of decreasing the pressure waves, geometrical characteristics of pipe and mechanical properties of metal are obtained. It is shown that smooth change of productivity of transfer allows reducing significantly the level of tension in pipe walls. The received analytical dependencies allow to determine parameters of decreasing the pressure wave taking into account insurance of safe functioning of the main pipeline.
KEYWORDS: main oil pipeline, pressure wave, pumping mode control, main pump, variable frequency electric drive, mechanical stress, pipe durability, safety of the pipeline.

ABSTRACT
Research results of gas-liquid flows in the horizontal pipeline are presented. The role of temperature fluctuations under the gas emission on walls of the pipeline and their influence on liquid structure at an internal surface of a pipe as factor of increase of slippage effect is shown.
Studies showed that in the transporting gas-liquid stream in the conditions of temperature fluctuations between oil and outside environment there is a continuous gas emission on the interface. The arising processes could be used as regulating factor for restoration of capacity of the pipeline.
In the work an attempt is made to identify the causes of gas formation, identification of possible ranges of frequencies and amplitudes of the temperature fluctuations for the effective regulation of hydraulic characteristics in the pipeline transport of hydrocarbons.
KEYWORDS: oil and gas pipelines, gas release, temperature fluctuations, gas content, hydrophobic surface, insulating cover.

ABSTRACT
Solutions of tasks on a thermal field in a parallelepiped with heat source maintaining a constant or temperature changing over time in the top section are presented in article. Required temperature is presented in the form of the sum of stationary and non-stationary parts to which creation of the decision the method of division of variables is applied. On the basis of the found solution calculations of existential dependences of temperature in relation to oil transformers with gas-insulated cooling are made.
KEYWORDS: heat equation, separation of variables, transformer, bubbling, cooling system, sulfur hexafluoride, the adsorption filter.

ABSTRACT
The influence of various factors on the applicability of both traditional and newly proposed methods of localization accidents at sea pipelines is shown in the paper, including:
- Physico-chemical properties of the pumped oil (composition, viscosity, pour point, flammability, aggressiveness, film thickness, etc.);
- Environmental parameters (time from the beginning of the spill, the visibility in the area of the accident, the wind speed, state of the sea, salinity, water and air temperatures);
- Ice conditions (ice index, the concentration of ice, quantity of oil on ice or under the ice).
The applicability of methods for responding to oil spills depending on the ice concentration, wind speed, wave height and visibility is presented.
The need to study the impact of factors such as the depth of the offshore pipeline, the intensity of the expiry of the oil from pipeline, the effect of temperature and flow rate at the point of dispensing is pointed out.
KEYWORDS: oil spills, offshore pipelines, oil properties, ice conditions, environmental parameters.

ABSTRACT
This paper provides an insight into Argentinean energy strategy that influences country’s place on the international arena. The analysis of driving forces of country’ development and its energy policy shows that the Argentinean energy policy is closely linked with its foreign policy and the growth of Argentina`s prestige both on the regional and international arena. The findings show that Argentina`s foreign policy is largely based on agreements in the oil and gas industry.After the 2001 crisis this country needed a political and economic support from the outside. This support Argentina was able to find thanks to greater involvement in regional integration. However, the oil and gas factor can have a positive impact on the increase of foreign relations with countries outside the region of Latin America too.
KEYWORDS: Argentina, oil and gas resources, foreign policy, oil, gas.

ABSTRACT
In the presidential message to the National Assembly in 2006 Hugo Chavez announced that the energy strategy of Venezuela cannot be separated from diplomacy. [1] Indeed, in the end of XX century, Venezuela had become an active actor on the regional and international levels thanks to its oil resources and membership in OPEC. It has been almost 10 years since Chavez message but the situation in the country did not change. The Venezuelan economy is still based on the supply of oil, while the country's foreign policy largely depends on its energy strategy. Today Caracas foreign policy is aimed at transformation of Latin America into one of the multipolar world poles and an independent policy-maker. In order to achieve this goal Venezuela after the Chavez's accession of power puts emphasis on its foreign policy, signing energy agreements with Latin American countries.
